i want to sell my handphone. actually, i buy this phone at RM650. i already used this phone for 4 years. so i want to sell it with 20% markdown base on old price. what is the net price after the markdown?

20%(650)=650-NP

today i went to town to company my friend. she wanted to buy new clothes for her siblings. first of all, we find a t-shirt for her brother. we finally choose a brown shirt. the list prise is RM49.90. but after trade discount of 50%, the net price is RM24.95. then we bought a blaus for her sister at RM33.90 as a list price. after tade discount of 20%, the net price is RM27.12. the total money that she spent for the cloths is RM52.07.

calculation:
NP=L(1-r) NP=net price, L=list price, r=trade discount

a brown shirt :
NP= 49.90(1-50%)
=RM24.95

total :

RM24.95+RM 27.12

my result for the second test..

i already got my result for my second test.. not too good but not too bad.. actually, compared to the other subjects i more interested with Business Mathematics.. even i'm not too good i'm still like this subject.. i like to count.. the problem is i always make careless mistake and forgot the formula.. i hope i do not repeat the same mistake.. however, final exam is just around the corner.. i need to work hard to achive the target..

Ahh!!! today i have my second test. the topics cover are Simple Interest, Bank Discount, Compound Interest and Markup and Markdown. I can answer most of the questions but there is also some formula that i forgot. However i hope that i can get a good result. please pray for me.. =)
